This pre-owned Voigtlander 12mm F5.6 Ultra Wide -Heliar for Sony E-Mount is a manual focus lens, made for landscape or architectural use. The build quality is very nice as the lens is an all-metal construction and feels very solid, tolerances are very low and the markings are engraved and filled with white (and red) paint. Voigtländer has been making a version of the 12mm lens for quite some time, and the Mark III version was created for the sensor glass characteristics of the Sony E-Mount cameras. The lens is very compact for an extreme ultra-wide lens and feels very solid in the hand. As the 12mm is too wide to take filters. It has a permanent lens hood that is part of the lens barrel and provides some minor shading of the front element and some physical protection as well.
