SwellPro Spry Plus Waterproof Action Sport Drone
The SwellPro Spry+ Waterproof Action Sport Drone is designed for your adventures on the water or dry land. Both the drone and controller are waterproof and capable of floating on the water. You can launch it off the water's surface as well as land back on the water, all while yourself standing in the water or the rain without the worry of damaging the controller.
The Spry+ is ultracompact, measuring about 23 x 23cm, and it's bright orange, so it's easy to see whether in the air, on the water, or on land. The image quality it captures is up to high-resolution UHD 4K30 video and 12MP photos, storing everything to up to a 64GB microSD card (sold separately). The drone can travel at a maximum speed of 64kmh for approximately 15 minutes in manual mode, as far as about a 800m from the controller, thanks to high-thrust motors and high-power ESCs. You can also perform stunts such as flips on the surface of the water and dives into shallow water depths, from where the drone will safely emerge back up and continue flight at your command.
The lens of the built-in camera captures an ultra-wide angle of view but is designed to minimize fisheye distortion so you get natural-looking images. The camera also uses vertical-axis mechanical image stabilization to deliver steady footage, and this can further be combined with built-in electronic image stabilization which you can choose to activate or turn off. The camera is encased behind a high-strength glass dome that's optically engineered for high transparency. The dome is additionally coated to filter out excessive glare and harsh highlights that can be caused by reflections from bodies of water and snow. For an optimal flight experience, the Spry+ is designed with a streamlined body for reduced drag and turbulence.
The drone can be operated in multiple different modes using the included controller, with the captured image displayed on a large monitoring screen on the controller. You can fly in GPS mode for automatic hover and hold control, ATTI flight mode for a user-controlled piloting experience, or ACRO mode for a fully manual experience in which you can push the limits of the drone. You can also switch to Circle mode, which keeps the drone facing a central point as it orbits. The drone can also be turned on and off directly from the controller. Other modes/functions include Autonomous Follow (Follow Me), in which the drone will follow the controller while keeping the camera on you as you move about down below. The Return to Me function will direct the drone back to wherever you happen to be, even if the drone is out of range.
Besides using the controller, you can also pair the Spry+ drone to your iOS/Android mobile device to enjoy select functions such as One Key Launch, Tap to Fly, Follow Me, and Return to Me. While the Spry+ has such a wide range of features described here, it can nonetheless be used by newcomers to the drone world thanks to its simple design and operation.

4K Camera
Being small doesn't mean you have to compromise image quality. The Spry's onboard camera features a Sony 1/2.3'' CMOS sensor paired with a lens that minimizes fisheye distortion for natural-looking images. With the Spry drone, capture the action in 4K video at 30 frames per second or take crisp 12MP photos. The Spry combines a vertical axis mechanical gimbal with optional electronic stabilization (EIS) to provide a dynamic, racing-drone point of view on the water impossible to get with any other drone.
Camera Dome
The Spry's 4K camera is completely enclosed in an optically-engineered, toughened glass dome that provides high transparency without distortion. A specially designed shade and glass coating help to filter out excessive glare and balance the harsh highlights often found on the water and snow.
Easy to Fly
Fast, waterproof but easy and fun to fly. Fly in GPS mode for automatic hover and hold control or switch to ATTI flight mode for a more direct piloting experience. Circle mode automatically keeps the drone facing a central point as it orbits.
- Autonomous Follow | Spry will follow the Remote Controller at a set distance and height - whether you are moving forward or backward, leading or chasing. The camera keeps you in the frame - no matter where your next move is.
- Smart Orbit | Choose the radius and speed of orbit and the Spry will track around a point of interest. Turn on Follow Me mode and the Spry will keep the remote controller's position in the middle of its circle - even if it is moving.
- Return to Me | When the Spry flies out of range or you want it to return to you, the drone will automatically return to the position of the remote controller - wherever you are. With SwellPro's "Return to Me" feature, your Spry will return to you even on a moving boat.
ACRO flight mode | more fun for advanced pilots
In this mode, the aircraft's gyroscopes, GPS, barometers and other sensors are not used to stabilize flight. The aircraft is in full manual control. Flight speed and flight attitude are directly controller by the pilot. In this mode, the aircraft will not hover unless the pilot maintains a balanced throttle. Flight speed will be particularly fast. The drone can do a variety of flips, including on the surface of the water and other acrobatic actions.
*This mode is only recommended for very advanced pilots.
Agile
The Spry is designed from the ground up to achieve a new compact shape, which is streamlined for reduced drag and turbulence as well as being tough.
