The GoPro HERO12 Black features some similar hardware to its predecessor—a 27MP image sensor capable of 53K60 video recording—its improved battery life, HyperSmooth 6.0 technology, and expanded Bluetooth wireless further its capabilities. HingSight captures up to 30s of footage before you record, so even if you press the shutter too late, you don't miss a shot. Scheduled Capture turns the GoPro on and captures a shot up to 24 hours in advance for easy photo time-lapses. Duration Capture records video clips from 15 seconds to 3 hours long.

The GoPro Media Mod for HERO9/HERO10/HERO11 Black is an external housing that outfits the camera with a built-in directional mic with wind suppression, 3.5mm mic port, micro-HDMI output, and two cold shoe mounts for attaching accessories. The weather-resistant Media Mod protectively covers the camera on all four sides while still providing access to the bottom mount, front and rear displays, and all key controls.

The Light Mod attaches on the top or side of the Media Mod, securing into one of the shoe mounts. Alternatively, it can be attached on various optional off-camera shoe mounts. The light features a 5000K daylight color temperature and 90+ CRI. It allows you to illuminate your subject with wide, smooth, and even light. A diffuser is also included for softening the light output.
